Meet Zakayla, MGBS
Hi, I am Zakayla Riley, owner and lead groomer at Pawpin' Pawz and I am honored that you have chosen us to give our love and care to your pet! I am a 2021 graduate of Northern Kentucky University where I received my Bachelor's of Social Work Degree as well as a graduate of The Mortar Entrepreneurship Academy. I began my grooming career amidst COVID-19 back in 2020 at Pet Supplies Plus, where I attended Paragon Pet Grooming School. I realized early on that the corporate grooming environment was very fast-paced and sometimes stressful for both the animals and the employees. Therefore, I decided to step it up, but slow it down by opening my own grooming salon, Pawpin' Pawz Luxury Mobile Grooming! By offering in home grooming, we are able to keep stress low and relaxation high.
I have two dogs of my own that keep me on my toes, Benji the Miniature Schnauzer and Shadow the Giant Schnauzer! I have always loved being with and caring for animals but it wasn't until I began cutting Benji's hair that I found my passion for making dogs look and feel their best. I have since competed in multiple shows, participated in various community service initiatives, and most off all I continue to further my knowledge so that we are always providing you and your pets with top quality care!
Meet Kristen
Kristen joined the Pawpin’ Pawz Luxury Mobile Grooming team with a lifelong passion for animals and nearly a decade of grooming experience. She began her career in 2016 after completing the PetSmart Grooming Academy and has since dedicated herself to providing high-quality, compassionate grooming services to pets of all breeds and sizes.
A proud Tri-State native, Kristen currently lives on the East Side with her beloved boxer mix, a snake, and her partner. Her love for animals extends beyond her home—she plans to welcome a Scottie into her life soon for both competition grooming and companionship.
Kristen has a special fondness for grooming cats, but she takes pride in tailoring her grooming approach to each pet’s unique needs and personality. Her goal is to create a calm, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for both pets and their owners.
Kristen is excited to bring her expertise, creativity, and love for animals to the Pawpin’ Pawz family—and she looks forward to meeting you and your furry best friend soon!
Meet Jarred
Jarred comes to Pawpin’ Pawz with over 6 years of professional dog and cat grooming experience, along with 2 years of competing in dog grooming competitions! He brings both precision and creativity to help pets look and feel their best. Passionate about animal care, he focuses on providing fear-free, high-quality grooming that blends comfort, artistry, and overall well-being. His background in competitive grooming drives him to deliver exceptional detail and style while always prioritizing the safety and comfort of every pet in his care.
Outside of work, he spends time with his dog Ruby, who accompanies him everywhere—from travel adventures to grooming competitions. He also enjoys spending time outdoors year-round, embracing every season whenever he can.
Whether he’s on the road with Pawpin’ Pawz, working in the competition ring, or caring for pets one-on-one, his mission remains the same: to combine skill, compassion, and care in everything he does for animals.
Meet Parker
Parker is a Cincinnati native who has grown up around and loved caring for animals for as long as he can remember! He is the big brother to one our own sweet furbaby clients, Oliver the YorkiePoo, a cat dad of two, as well as a leopard gecko.
Parker is an artist at heart and it comes to life through his spunky and creativity personality - working with kids as a school picture day/studio photographer he loves capturing joyful moments for people and their loved ones. He also has experience working in a retirement home and providing care to those who may not be able to advocate for themselves.
After witnessing a horrific grooming situation with their family dog, Oliver - Parker knew that there had to be a safer and more comfortable way to provide dogs with the care they need on a regular basis. After observing how we at Pawpin' Pawz care for pets, he immediately knew that this was the company he wanted to work with and learn from to one day fulfill his dream and become a professional pet groomer! Parker is Pawpin' Pawz first official grooming apprentice. Parker is enrolled in The Paragon Pet Grooming School and working alongside our professional groomers to gain valuable hands-on experience in both cats and dogs. In addition to learning the art of pet grooming, Parker is the magic behind our social media presence and is overjoyed to work with your sweet babies!
